EXAM PATTERN
The IPU CET PG exam is generally conducted as an online computer-based test (CBT) consisting of 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) to be completed in 150 minutes. Each correct answer carries 4 marks, while 1 mark is deducted for an incorrect response. The exam assesses candidates’ core subject knowledge, reasoning, and analytical skills relevant to the chosen postgraduate programme.
The test paper will contain 100 objective-type questions in all for all CETs. Each question will be provided with four alternative answers marked as (1), (2), (3) and (4).

Mode of Examination
IPU CET Examination will be held as an Online Computer Based Test. Questions will be Objective type Multiple choice in nature.
Medium of Examination
The medium of the tests will be English only.
Marking Scheme
1. The test paper will contain 100 objective-type questions in all for all CETs .Each question will be provided with four alternative answers marked as (1), (2), (3) and (4).
2. Each multiple choice question shall carry four marks.
3. There will be negative marking for incorrect answers. One mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
4. The written test will be of two and a half hour duration and will carry 400 marks.
Eligibility
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Candidates willing to apply for IPU CET Examination are required to fulfil certain conditions to be eligible for it. The candidate who does not satisfy the Eligibility criteria like Age, Minimum educational qualification etc., their candidature shall be rejected by the authorities. The criteria for eligibility for IPU CET are decided by the conduction body itself. The candidate’s eligibility for IPU CET Examination is based on the fulfilment of the following conditions:-

Nationality
Candidate should be an Indian/ Overseas Indian / Nepal citizen. Non-Resident Indians and Foreign Nationals are not eligible.
Age Limit & Relaxations
1. Minimum Age limit for PG programs is 21 years.
2. The Age limit for Post Graduate programs with entry qualification as graduation is 35 years.
Age Relaxation
The upper age limit may be relaxed upto a maximum of five years in exceptional cases by the Admission Officer (designated) of the concerned programme if he/she is satisfied with the merit of the case. Candidates exceeding the upper age limit upto five years may provisionally apply/ appear in the Common Entrance Test.
However, they would be required to submit to the satisfaction of the Admission Officer an explanation regarding the gap period, i.e., the details of the period spent by him/her after passing the qualifying examination to justify the relaxation. Such explanation should be in the form of an application to the concerned Admission Officer along with supporting documents (if any). Any relaxation of age beyond this shall be given by the Registrar of the University. The candidates desirous of applying for age relaxation should apply in writing to Joint Registrar (Admissions), Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University.
NOTE. If a candidate takes admission on the basis of a false age claim, the admission of such a candidate shall be cancelled with forfeiture of entire fees paid, as and when such cases are detected.

4. Pay the Examination Fee: Candidates have to pay an application fee of Rs 1500 (for General/ OBC/ SC & ST candidates) for each course. After checking all the details click on the OK button, after the candidate will be directed to the Bill Desk page for the course payment. The payment will be finalized by selecting the “Make Payment” command button
5. Print the Confirmation page: The last step is to take printouts of the confirmation page, after successful payment of application fees.

ADMIT CARD
The IPU CET PG 2026 admit card has not been released yet, as the examination is usually conducted in April or May. Once available, candidates will be able to download the admit card from the official IPU websites ipu.ac.in or ipu.admissions.nic.in by logging in with their registration credentials. The admit card will be provided in PDF format, which should be downloaded and printed for exam day use.
Candidates can follow the below-mentioned steps to download admit card for the IPU CET exam:
1- Visit the official website.Click on the link ‘IPU CET Admit Card.
2- Fill in the application number and password in the given space and click on the “submit” button
3- IPU CET admit card will be displayed on the screen in PDF format.
4- Check the details printed on it and download it.
5- Take the printout of the IPU CET admit card.
EXAM RESULT
The IPU CET PG 2026 result has not been announced yet. It is expected to be released around June 2026, after the examinations conclude. Candidates will be able to check and download their results from the official website, ipu.ac.in, by logging in with their registration details. After the declaration of results, the counselling process is likely to take place in June or July 2026.

COUNSELLING PROCESS & CUTOFFS
The IPU CET 2026 counselling process will be conducted by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) for candidates who qualify the IPU CET examination. Counselling is expected to be held from June to July 2026 and forms a crucial stage of the admission process. To participate, candidates must register online and pay the required counselling fee. Seat allotment will be carried out based on the candidate’s entrance exam rank and their course preferences.
The IPU CET counselling process consists of multiple stages, such as registration, fee payment, choice filling, seat allotment, and document verification.
Registration: Candidates who qualify the IPU CET examination must register for counselling through the official GGSIPU website.
Counselling Fee Payment: Once registered, candidates are required to pay counselling fee using online payment modes.
Choice Filling: After fee payment, candidates must select and lock their preferred courses and colleges according to their interests and eligibility.
Seat Allotment: Seats are allocated based on the candidate’s rank, category, and filled preferences during the counselling rounds.
Document Verification: Candidates who are allotted seats must report to the assigned institute for document verification and payment of the admission fee to confirm their admission.
