(OR) BE or B.Tech., in Biomedical Engineering or Biotechnology. (OR) Bachelor of Physiotherapy with 1-year experience in Neurology from a recognized Institution. (OR) Master of Physiotherapy (Neurology) (OR) BA/MA in applied Psychology.

2. MSc Nursing course (course code 8907)
Eligibility
(i) The candidates should have passed the qualification of BSc Nursing Degree of this Institute or any other University accepted as equivalent thereof.
(ii) The candidates should have registered with the State Registration Council of Nursing and Midwifery.
(iii) The candidates should have at least one year of experience in a hospital or in a College or in a School of Nursing or in Community Health Program after BSc Nursing and registration with a State Nursing Council.
Duration of the course
1 - The duration of the course is 2 (Two) years.
2 - There is no provision for sponsored / nominated candidates.
3 - There are no stipendiary provisions during the study period.
4 - For MSc Nursing, the allotment of seats will be done through counseling.
3. Master of Public Health (MPH) (course code 8908)
Eligibility
1 - Any applicant with qualification of M.B.B.S Degree /B.D.S (Dental) /B.E.,/B.Tech. (Any Branch), BSc (Nursing) / B.V.Sc. (Veterinary Science) / AYUSH / Allied Health or Social Sciences of any recognized University / Statutory Body, should have passed in first attempt in all semesters/year with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
2 - TWO years of completed work experience in public health system is desirable.

1 - The duration of the course is 2 (Two) years.
2 - There is no stipendiary provisions during the course of study
3 - There is a provision for sponsored / deputed candidates.
4. Post Basic Diploma in Nursing (PBD) (course code 8909)
Eligibility
1 - Must be a registered nurse (R.N. & R.M.) or equivalent.
2 - Possess Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery with one-year experience as Staff Nurse or BSc Nursing or equivalent.
3 - The prescribed experience will be calculated only after obtaining the registration from a State Nursing Council.
Age Limit: The Upper age limit is 40 years as on the closing date of Online Registration and the age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/Service candidates are as per existing Government rules.
Duration of the course
1 - The duration of the course is one year. However, the maximum period to complete the course successfully should not exceed two years.
2 - There is no provision for sponsored / nominated candidates.
3 - For Post Basic BSc. Nursing, the allotment of seats will be done through counseling as per the Roster Point Reservation.

2 - If the candidate discontinues the course with one month notice, a penalty of Rs.25,000/- alone must be paid to the institute for getting relieved ( Previous Year ).
5. Postgraduate Diploma/Fellowship (PGD/PGF) courses
A. Postgraduate Diploma in Genetic Counseling (Course Code: 8910)
Eligibility: Any applicant with qualification of MBBS, BDS, BSc Nursing, MSc/ M. Phil Medical Psychology from a recognized University.

1 - The duration of the course is 1 (One) year.
2 - There is no stipendiary provisions during the course of study
3 - There is no provision for sponsored / nominated candidates.
B. Postgraduate Fellowship in Family Planning (Course Code: 8911)
Eligibility: Any applicant with qualification of MBBS from a recognized University.
Duration of the course
1 - The duration of the course is 1 (One) year.
2 - There is no provision for sponsored / nominated candidates.
3 - Stipend of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand) for per month for 12 months will be awarded ( Previous Year ).
6. Medical Physics Internship Program
Eligibility: 1. A post graduate degree in Physics from a recognized university and a Post M.Sc. Diploma in Radiological/Medical Physics from a recognized university;
OR
2. A basic degree in science from a recognized university, with Physics as one of the main subjects and a post graduate degree in radiological/medical physics from a recognized university.
Duration of the course
The duration of the course is 1 (One) year.
Stipend & Leave eligibility
1 - Rs.10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand only) would be paid as stipend every month during one year Internship period ( Previous Year ).
2 - A total of 30 days of leave shall be admissible for the entire duration of the one-year Internship program ( Previous Year ).
Completion of the Internship Program
1 - The candidate has to mandatorily complete 1year internship program to be eligible for certification.
2 - Candidate has to do extension period in case they fail to complete mandatory 1 year program. Stipend will not be paid for the extension period.

4. Confirmation page:
a. The process of submission of application online is completed only after uploading candidate details, scanned photograph, scanned Caste/Community/ Income & Asset Certificate/PWD certificate as applicable, and scanned signature and then clicking the “Submit button”.
b. The candidates are advised to download a copy of their filled in application which contains the application details.
c. Candidates need NOT send hard copy of the application to the Institute.
EXAM CENTERS
Specific exam centres for the JIPMER M.Sc / MPH Entrance Exam 2026 will be announced in the official prospectus, typically released in mid of 2026. Historically, JIPMER PG exams are conducted in multiple cities across India.The following 09 cities are tentatively proposed in India as the examination centers:

1- Applicants can opt for ONLY THREE exam cities.
2 - The allotment of Exam City would be as per the order of preference clicked by applicant during on-line registration on a FIRST-COME-FIRST-SERVE basis and based on the availability.
3 - NO request for change of center by the candidate would be considered under any circumstances.
ADMIT CARD
Candidates whose applications will be completed in all respects could download their Hall Tickets for the Entrance Examination from official website.
To download the JIPMER MSc/MPH Entrance Exam 2026 admit card, visit the official JIPMER website (jipmer.edu.in). Navigate to the 'Academic' or `Announcements' section to find the hall ticket link for MSc/MPH courses, log in using your registration credentials, and download the document for the exam.
The Hall Ticket will contain:
1. Name and date of birth as typed by the candidate in the application.
2. Photo and signature image as uploaded by the candidate.
3. Examination City allotted and Roll Number.
4. Course and category applied.
Candidates will be allowed to appear for the Entrance Examination only if he/she produces the hall ticket, Identity proof in original & a photocopy of the same.
Candidates are STRICTLY PROHIBITTED from writing anything on the Hall Ticket and it will be collected at the Examination Center at the end of the Examination.
Entrance Examination - Instructions for Candidates (Previous Year) : - Instructions are given below, Candidate should follow.
Reporting time at the exam venue: 07.00 AM. Entry to examination center closes at 08:15 AM. Entry will NOT be permitted beyond 08:15 AM under any circumstance. The exam venues will be in the perimeter of 25 to 30 km from the main city. The candidates are advised to visit the exam venue one day before the examination to familiarize with the location of the Exam centre.
Exam starts at 09:00 AM. Candidates will NOT be permitted to leave the exam hall before 10:30 AM (i.e. time of close of examination) except in case of acute health related issues.
Candidates should carry ONLY Admit card/Hall Ticket along with Valid Identity proof (in original) and photocopy (Xerox) of the same ID proof inside the hall. No other paper will be allowed inside the hall. Candidates will NOT be allowed to enter the examination centre without valid Admit card/Hall Ticket & Valid ID Proof.
Valid ID Proof: ID Proof other than those mentioned below will NOT be permitted /accepted under any circumstances.

Candidates are advised to check the seating plan that will be displayed outside the halls and identify the room / lab allotted as per their Hall Ticket number.
Candidates will be subjected to thorough frisking before being allowed into the hall.
EXAM RESULTS
The list of candidates who qualify for counseling to MSc / MPH / PBD / PGD / PGF courses would be declared tentatively in the month of August 2026. Letters to individual candidates will not be sent. The marks/Percentile Scores of individual candidates will be made available on JIPMER Website.
To download the JIPMER MSc / MPH Entrance Exam 2026 result, visit the official JIPMER website (jipmer.edu.in), navigate to the "Academic" or "Examination" section, and click on the result link for your specific course. Log in using your credentials (such as roll number or application ID) to view and download your merit list or scorecard.
Resolving ties: If two or more candidates secure equal Percentile in the entrance examination, their inter se merit shall be determined in the following order: The candidate who has fewer negative marks will be placed higher than that of the other candidate. If a tie still exists, the candidate elder by age will be ranked higher.
Warning: At any time, if the competent authorities find that admission has been offered based on false/ incorrect information/ documents and suppression of relevant facts, educational qualification or quota, the admission offered or the admission already completed shall be cancelled, irrespective of the stage of study of that course. Further, legal proceedings will also be initiated against such candidates for such action/(s). Hence, Candidates are warned against indulging in such action/ (s), in their own interest. All parents are also requested to make note of the above provision, and take due care and diligence, in all matters concerning admission to the courses.
COUNSELLING PROCEDURE & CUTOFFS
The details of counseling process will be announced on JIPMER website after the declaration of results. Candidates are advised to periodically visit JIPMER website for further updates. Admission to all candidates is based on merit, category of the candidates, and the availability of seats at the time of counseling.
Certificates to be submitted at the time of counseling
Candidates should submit the following Original Certificates to become eligible for counseling proceedings. No candidates will be allowed to participate in the counseling proceeding without the original certificates. Bonafide certificates will not be accepted.
1. Proof of Date of Birth [10th Standard Certificate (or) Birth Certificate].
2. Consolidated Mark sheet / Statement of marks year wise or semester wise of the qualifying examination
3. Diploma/Degree Certificate (or) Provisional certificate (or) Pass Certificate of the qualifying examination for the course applied
4. Attempt certificate (For MPH course only)
5. Sponsorship certificate, Proforma for Endorsement by the Employer & Sponsorship Certificate by Central/State Govt./Armed Forces (*For MPH course - Sponsored candidate only)
6. Experience certificate (if applicable)
7. Community Certificate (*For OBC(NCL)/SC/ST candidates only)
8. Economically Weaker Sections Certificate (*For EWSs candidates only)
9. Persons with Disability (*if applicable)
10. Transfer Certificate/ Migration Certificate
11. Course cum Conduct/Character Certificate
12. Domicile/ Nativity/ Residence Certificate
