The National Testing Agency (NTA) has postponed the CUET UG 2026 exam that was scheduled to be held on May 28, 2026. The decision has been taken because of the Id-ul-Zuha (Bakrid) holiday.

As per the official notification, the CUET UG 2026 examination planned for May 28 in both shifts will now be conducted on new dates. However, the revised schedule will be announced later by the authorities.

The NTA clarified that the change has been made in line with the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) update regarding the rescheduling of the Bakrid holiday.

Advisory for candidates

Candidates are advised to keep checking the official websites of NTA and the CUET UG portal for the latest updates related to the revised exam dates. The agency has also urged students to rely only on official announcements to avoid any misinformation.

CUET UG 2026 exam pattern

The CUET UG 2026 will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode and will include three sections:

• Language

• Domain-specific subjects

• General Test

Each section will consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs), and all questions will be compulsory. Candidates will be allotted 60 minutes per subject. The marking scheme awards five marks for every correct answer, while one mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. No marks will be deducted for unanswered questions.
