South East Central Railway (South East Central Railway), Bilaspur Division has issued an official notification for the recruitment of Act Apprentices for the 2026–27 training session under the Apprentices Act, 1961 and Apprenticeship Rules, 1962. The drive aims to fill a total of 1,191 apprentice vacancies across 19 designated trades.

The online application process started on May 12, 2026 and will remain open until June 11, 2026 (11:59 PM). Interested candidates can apply through the official apprenticeship portal within the given timeline.

Trades and vacancy distribution

The apprenticeship vacancies are spread across multiple trades including COPA, Fitter, Electrician, Wireman, Painter, Welder, Carpenter, Plumber, Stenography, and others.

The highest number of seats is in COPA with 350 vacancies, followed by Fitter with 223 posts and Electrician with 206 posts. Other notable trades include Wireman (125), Painter (41), Mech (RAC) (40), Carpenter (38), and Steno (English) (36).

Additional trades such as Plumber (30), Steno Hindi (25), Welder (20), Track Machine/BSP (17), Draftsman Civil (12), Diesel Mechanic (8), and several others with smaller allocations are also included.

The category-wise distribution includes UR, EWS, OBC, SC, ST candidates along with reservations for Ex-Servicemen and Persons with Disabilities.

Eligibility criteria

Candidates must have passed Class 10 with at least 50% marks along with an ITI certificate in the relevant trade from a recognized institution. The age limit is set between 15 and 24 years as on June 11, 2026, with relaxation applicable as per government rules.

Selection process

The selection will be based on a merit list prepared using marks obtained in Class 10 and ITI examinations, with equal weightage given to both.

Applicants must correctly enter their academic details while applying, as incorrect information may lead to rejection of the application.
