The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the revised final answer keys for the UGC NET December 2025 session, following directions from the Delhi High Court. This update comes after the initially released final answer keys on April 3, which did not cover all subjects. Previously, answer keys were available only for History, Economics, Education, Commerce, and Hindi. After reviewing objections and court instructions, NTA has now published the updated keys.

Changes in History Paper

The History paper saw significant revisions:

• Four questions have been dropped.

• Three questions are now marked as having two correct answers.

These adjustments were made in response to multiple candidate objections. Students who appeared for the History paper can expect the revised results soon on the official website.

Changes in Commerce Paper

For the Commerce exam held in the first shift on January 3, the following changes were made:

• Three questions have been dropped.

• One question has been assigned two correct answers.

No Changes in Other Subjects

The Economics, Education, and Hindi papers remain unchanged:

• Economics exam: January 7 (first shift)

• Education exam: January 3

• Hindi exam: No dropped questions

Exam Overview

The UGC NET December 2025 was conducted from December 31, 2025, to January 7, 2026, with the provisional answer key released on January 14, 2026. The exam determines eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professor positions, and PhD admissions.

The revision followed a writ petition filed by student Kartikeya Kahol, who challenged four specific question IDs and requested a review by the court. Approximately 60,777 candidates appeared for the History paper in this session, with results initially declared on February 4, 2026. Post-results, candidates raised concerns about incorrect markings, prompting this update.
