This year, the exam authority has introduced a One Time Registration (OTR) system. Candidates must complete the OTR process before filling out the application form. Without completing OTR, submission of the application will not be possible.

UPTET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

UPTET is required for candidates aspiring to teach in government and aided schools in Uttar Pradesh. The eligibility criteria are as follows:

• Primary Level (Classes 1 to 5): Candidates must have passed Senior Secondary or equivalent with at least 50% marks and hold a Diploma in Elementary Education (two years) or an equivalent qualification.

• Upper Primary Level (Classes 6 to 8): Candidates must hold a graduation degree with at least 50% marks and possess either a Diploma in Elementary Education (two years) or a B.Ed degree.

Steps to Register for UPTET 2026

• First visit the official website.

• Complete the One Time Registration (OTR) process.

• Upload required documents, including photograph and signature.

• Generate the OTR ID after submitting personal details.

• Log in with the OTR ID and complete the application form.

• Pay the application fee online.

• Submit the form and download the confirmation page.
