The registration process for the 2026-27 academic session has now concluded; consequently, students and parents are eagerly awaiting the provisional selection lists to be released under the admission process of the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS).

The online registration for Balvatika-1, Balvatika-3, and Class I was conducted between March 20 and April 2, 2026. The admission process has now moved into the result and selection phase, with multiple lists scheduled throughout April.

First provisional list dates

The first list of selected and waitlisted candidates will be announced on:

• April 8, 2026 for Balvatika-1, Balvatika-2 (if applicable), and Balvatika-3

• April 9, 2026 for Class I

For regions like Assam, Kerala, and Puducherry, the lists for both Balvatika and Class I will be released on April 10, 2026, due to general election polling.

These provisional lists will include both selected candidates and waiting lists. Admissions will be carried out in stages—starting with Right to Education (RTE) applicants, followed by Service Priority Categories I and II, and then remaining seats.

Second and third lists

If seats are still available after the first round, KVS will publish:

• Second provisional list: April 16, 2026

• Third provisional list: April 21, 2026

Further admissions will depend on seat availability after each round.

Offline admissions under special categories

In case of insufficient applications through the online process, KVS will issue a fresh notification on April 21, 2026 for offline admissions under categories such as RTE, SC, ST, and OBC (NCL).

• Registration period: April 22 to April 26, 2026

• List display and admissions: April 27 to April 30, 2026

Admissions for other classes

For Balvatika-2 and Class II onwards (except Class XI), offline registrations took place from April 2 to April 8, 2026, depending on seat availability.

• Selection list release: April 13, 2026

• Admission window: April 15 to April 20, 2026

Class XI admissions

Admissions for Class XI will begin after the announcement of Class X board results by CBSE.

• Existing KV students can register within 10 days of result declaration

• Admission lists will be released and completed within 20 days

• Non-KV students can apply later, based on vacant seats

The final deadline for Class XI admissions is set at 30 days after the Class X results are declared.

Final admission deadlines

• Last date for admissions (except Class XI): June 30, 2026

• Extended deadline (if seats remain vacant): July 31, 2026, with approval
