The Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board (MPESB), Bhopal will close the online registration process for the Forest Guard, Field Guard, Jail Prahari, and Assistant Jail Superintendent Recruitment Examination 2026 on March 14, 2026. Candidates who have not yet applied are advised to complete the application process before the deadline.

Eligible applicants can submit their forms online through the MPESB official websites.

The recruitment notification was issued on February 27, 2026, and the online application process began on February 28, 2026.

• Computer-based examination: Starting from April 7, 2026

Vacancy details

Through this recruitment drive, MPESB aims to fill 1,679 vacancies in the Forest Department and the Jail Department under the Government of Madhya Pradesh.

The distribution of posts is as follows:

• Forest Guard (Van Rakshak): 728 vacancies

• Field Guard (Kshetra Rakshak): 169 vacancies

• Jail Prahari (Warder): 757 vacancies

• Assistant Jail Superintendent: 25 vacancies

Eligibility criteria

Candidates who have passed Class 10 are eligible to apply for the Forest Guard, Field Guard, and Jail Prahari posts.

For the Assistant Jail Superintendent position, applicants must hold a graduate degree from a recognised university.

Age limit

• For Forest Guard, Field Guard, and Jail Prahari posts, candidates must be 18 to 33 years old.

• For the Assistant Jail Superintendent post, the age limit is 21 to 33 years.

The age will be calculated as of January 1, 2026. Age relaxation will be provided to candidates belonging to reserved categories in accordance with government rules.

Application fee

The application fee structure is as follows:

• Rs 500 for candidates from General, OBC, and EWS categories

• Rs 250 for candidates belonging to SC, ST, female, PH, and PwD categories

Applicants must pay the fee through online payment modes only.

Selection process
