The National Testing Agency (NTA) has published the provisional answer key for JEE Main 2026 Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech) on February 4, 2026. Candidates who appeared for the Joint Entrance Examination can access the answer key through the official JEE Main website.

Along with the release of the answer key, NTA has also activated the objection window. Candidates can submit challenges against the provisional answers until February 6, 2026, up to 11:50 pm. As stated in the official notification, candidates can raise objections online by paying a non-refundable processing fee of ?200 per question. The question papers and recorded responses have also been made available on the official website for reference.

Candidates can follow the steps below to check and download the provisional answer key:

• First visit the JEE Main official website.

• Now click on the link on the homepage.

• Log in using the required credentials.

• Submit the details to view the answer key.

• Download the answer key and review the responses.

• Save or print a copy for future use.

The JEE Main 2026 Session 1 examination was conducted on January 21, 22, 23, 24, 28, and 29, 2026. Paper 1 was held in two shifts on the first four days, with the morning session from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon and the afternoon session from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Paper 2 was conducted on the final day in a single shift from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm.
