The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will conclude the application process for the NDA & NA (I) 2026 and CDS (I) 2026 examinations on December 30, 2025, at 6:00 PM. Applications submitted after the deadline will not be accepted under any circumstances. Eligible candidates can complete their registrations through the official UPSC portals.

The commission issued the official notifications for both examinations on December 10, 2025. Through this recruitment drive, UPSC aims to fill 394 vacancies across the Indian Army, Navy, Air Force and Naval Academy. Candidates selected through the process will be commissioned as Lieutenants. The written examination for both NDA and CDS is scheduled for April 12, 2026.

UPSC NDA & NA (I) 2026: Eligibility and Application Fee

The NDA examination is open to unmarried male and female candidates. Applicants must have been born between July 1, 2007 and July 1, 2010. In addition to age requirements, candidates must satisfy the prescribed educational qualifications and physical fitness standards.

The application fee for NDA is Rs 100 for candidates belonging to General, OBC and EWS categories. Candidates from SC, ST, female applicants, and wards of JCOs, NCOs and Other Ranks are exempted from paying the fee.

UPSC CDS (I) 2026: Eligibility and Application Fee

Eligibility for the CDS examination varies depending on the academy—Indian Military Academy (IMA), Indian Naval Academy (INA), Air Force Academy (AFA) or Officers’ Training Academy (OTA). Since age limits and educational requirements differ by course, candidates are advised to refer to the official notification carefully.

The CDS application fee is Rs 200 for General, OBC and EWS candidates, while SC, ST and female candidates are exempted.

UPSC NDA & CDS Selection Process

The selection procedure for both NDA and CDS follows a similar pattern. Candidates must first qualify the written examination, after which shortlisted candidates are called for the Services Selection Board (SSB) interview. Those who clear the interview stage undergo document verification and medical examination before final selection.

• Submit the form before 6:00 PM on December 30, 2025
